myTransit

myTransit is an improved iPhone-specific journey planner alternative for Translink public transport services in Brisbane, Australia.

The original Translink Journey Planner is unwieldy on mobile devices, even with the mobile stylesheet they recently applied. Their mobile version isn’t much better, in fact it’s probably worse.

Implemented features:

  • iPhone web app interface built on jQTouch
  • Recent locations
  • Graphical journey planner view
  • Fast to load: HTML5 asset caching, gzip enabled
  • Live time bar to easily see the current time in relation to journeys
